ABOUT THE DUTCH SHEPHERD
While the dutch shepherd were once known as the jack of all trades on the farm. They have since been moved into a new life of police, protection and K9 as well as the family pet. They make great dogs and have been known to rule the ring in obedience competitions. They are closley related to their cousin the Belgian Shepherd, although the colors are different. They are more often than not a brindle in color instead of the straight black and tan. They, like the Malinois, make good family dogs for an active family. They require good food and a very active family lifestyle. Anything from agility competitions to K9 work to nose work both breeds require mental and physical stimulation.
